The passuk says at the beginning of this week’s sedrah (7:12) וְהָיָה עֵקֶב תִּשְׁמְעוּן אֵת הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים הָאֵלֶּה וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם וְשָׁמַר ה' אֱלֹקֶיךָ לְךָ אֶת הַבְּרִית וְאֶת הַחֶסֶד אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַאֲבֹתֶיךָ And it will be if you obey these mishpatim and observe them carefully, then Hashem will keep faithfully for you the covenant that He swore to your fathers. This passuk only mentions the observance of the mishpatim (mitzvos that we can understand). However the passuk at the end of last week’s sedrah (7:11) mentions both chukim (mitzvos whose reason we cannot understand) and also mishpatim : וְשָׁמַרְתָּ אֶת הַמִּצְוָה וְאֶת הַחֻקִּים וְאֶת הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם לַעֲשׂוֹתָם And you should guard the commandments and the chukim and the mishpatim which I command you today to do them. A further variation appears later in this week’s sedrah where the passuk (8:11) says הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן...

The passuk says in this week’s sedrah; וַאֲהַבְתֶּם אֶת הַגֵּר כִּי גֵרִים הֱיִיתֶם בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם “You should love the ger because you were gerim in Mitzraim.” The Rambam says in Hilchos Deios (6) explains; הלכה ג': מצוה על כל אדם לאהוב את כל אחד ואחד מישראל כגופו שנאמר ואהבת לרעך כמוך לפיכך צריך לספר בשבחו ולחוס על ממונו כאשר הוא חס על ממון עצמו ורוצה בכבוד עצמו... הלכה ד': אהבת הגר שבא ונכנס תחת כנפי השכינה שתי מצות עשה אחת מפני שהוא בכלל ריעים ואחת מפני שהוא גר והתורה אמרה ואהבתם את הגר צוה על אהבת הגר כמו שצוה על אהבת עצמו שנאמר ואהבת את ה' אלהיך הקב"ה עצמו אוהב גרים שנאמר ואוהב גר הלכה ג' : “It is a mitzvah for everyone person to love everyone from klal yisrael as himself as the passuk says ‘ ואהבת לרעך כמוך’ – ‘you should love your friend as yourself’. Al ha’etz The possuk says in this week’s sedrah: אֶרֶץ חִטָּה וּשְׂעֹרָה וְגֶפֶן וּתְאֵנָה וְרִמּוֹן אֶרֶץ זֵית שֶׁמֶן וּדְבָשׁ. אֶרֶץ אֲשֶׁר לֹא בְמִסְכֵּנֻת תֹּאכַל בָּהּ לֶחֶם לֹא תֶחְסַר כֹּל בָּהּ אֶרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אֲבָנֶיהָ בַרְזֶל וּמֵהֲרָרֶיהָ תַּחְצֹב נְחֹשֶׁת. וְאָכַלְתָּ וְשָׂבָעְתָּ וּבֵרַכְתָּ אֶת ה' אֱלֹקיךָ עַל הָאָרֶץ הַטֹּבָה אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָךְ . “A land of wheat and barley, vines and figs and pomegranates, a land of oil producing olives and [date] honey. A land in which you will not eat bread scantily, you shall lack nothing in it. A land whose stones are iron and from whose hills you will quarry copper. And you will eat and be satisifed and you will bless Hashem your G-d for the good land that He has given you.” This possuk tells us that there is a chiyuv to bentsch on bread.
